Best Stats To Target for Your Champions in Arena

This guide provides stat targets for champions in Raid: Shadow Legends’ Arena mode, categorized by role and progression stage.

To excel in Arena, you need a good team and the right stats so they can perform well. In Arena and other PvP modes, stats are not fixed but are a moving target based on the role your champion serves and your progress in Raid: Shadow Legends. This variability is influenced by meta changes, the introduction of new champions, and evolving PvP strategies.

This article aims to offer a guide on the stats you should focus on based on your champion’s role and your current stage in the game.

Arena Team Composition

Building a successful team involves strategic selection of key roles. This guide focuses on the most common team composition: a Speed Lead, a Debuffer, a Supporter, and a Damage Dealer. While these guidelines are primarily tailored for this setup, they can also be applied to other team compositions. However, it’s important to note that some specialized teams, like High Resist teams or those centered around an Ultimate Death-Knight, may not align perfectly with these stat recommendations.

Quick Reference Chart

Here is quick reference sheet for each of the roles. For more details of each role, continue to read the rest of the article.

Speed Leads

Examples: Arbiter, Lyssandra, High Khatun.

These champions are the fastest on your team. The aim is to make them the first to act on your team and in the battle. Their primary role is to boost the turn meter and speed of your other champions to ensure they take a turn before your opponents.

These do not include champions that perform actions before the first turn (i.e. Hegemon, Kalvalax, etc.).

Many times, these champions also act in a secondary role as a debuffer, support, or (unlikely) damage dealer.

Stats to Focus On: Speed / SPD

Early Game (Bronze – Silver)

Speed: As high as possible.

You want your Speed Lead to have the highest speed possible. Focus on the number, not the set combination. Place the fastest combination of gear on, even if they are from different sets. It’s more important to have the highest speed from mismatched pieces than 3 speed sets with slower speed. As you progress, this will change.

Mid Game (Silver – Gold)

Speed: 300 – 350+ Speed.

Begin moving towards speed set combinations and consider using glyph and ascended speed boots to reach this number.

End Game / Late Game (Gold V – Plat)

Speed: 400+ speed is the general target.

This can be broken down further into two progression segments:

  • Early end game: 380+ speed. You will move from this range very quickly.
  • End Game – Late Game: 430+ speed is where you truly start competing with Platinum tier teams.

Debuffer

Examples: Lord Entertainer Fabian, Armanz the Magnificent, Madame Serris

The goal of these champions is to make your opponents more susceptible to damage or reduce their effectiveness in a battle. This is done by:

  • stripping them of their buffs,
  • applying other negative effects that reduce their stats,
  • crowd-controlling your opponents’ champions by manipulating their turn meter, ability cooldowns, or causing them to skip their turn through like freeze or stun.

You typically want your Debuffer going after your speed lead, so that they place their effects on the opponents as quickly as possible.

Stats to Focus On: Speed / SPD, Accuracy / ACC

Early Game (Bronze – Silver)

Speed: Slightly slower than your Speed Lead. Even if it’s just by 1 less speed.

Accuracy: As much as possible, regardless of set, while maintaining the appropriate speed.

Mid Game (Silver – Gold)

Speed: Aim for 255 speed, but be within range of your speed leads turn meter buff.

At this stage of your progression, the exact speed you’re looking for is dependent on your Speed Lead and if you want your Supporter going before your Debuffer. Your champion’s speed should be slower than the Speed Lead but within the percentage of their turn meter increase buff.

To illustrate the point, these are the minimum speed stats for your Debuffers if you had Speed Lead with 300 speed:

  • Turn Meter Buff 15% (e.g., High Khatun, Apothecary, Lady Kimi): 255 speed
  • Turn Meter Buff 20% (e.g., Donatello, Freyja): 240 speed
  • Turn Meter Buff 30% (e.g., Arbiter): 210 speed.

Accuracy: 300 – 400 accuracy

End Game / Late Game (Gold V – Plat)

Speed: 350 – 400+ speed.

As before, you still want your Debuffers to be within the range of your Speed Leads Turn Meter Buff.

Accuracy:

  • Early end game: 450+ accuracy.
  • End Game – Late Game: 600+ accuracy.

Supporter

Examples: Marichka The Unbreakable, Elva Autumnborn, Doompriest

These champions are focused on enhancing your champions’ stats or protecting them. Many Supporters can also serve as Speed Leads, however this section focuses on those champions whose primary role is to buff and safeguard your team.

Stats to Focus On: Speed / SPD, Health / HP, Defense / Def

Early Game (Bronze – Silver)

Speed: Slightly slower than your Speed Lead, even if it’s just by 1 speed.

Defense: 2,000 – 3,000 defense.

Health: As much health as possible while maintaining your speed and defense targets.

Mid Game (Silver – Gold)

Speed: Speed: Aim for 255 speed, but be within range of your speed leads turn meter buff.

At this stage of your progression, the exact speed you’re looking for is primarily dependent on your Speed Lead and if you want your Debuffer going before your Supporter. Your champion’s speed should be slower than the Speed Lead but within the percentage of their turn meter increase buff.

To illustrate the point, these are the minimum speed stats for your Supporters if you had Speed Lead with 300 speed:

  • Turn Meter Buff 15% (e.g., High Khatun, Apothecary, Lady Kimi): 255 speed
  • Turn Meter Buff 20% (e.g., Donatello, Freyja): 240 speed
  • Turn Meter Buff 30% (e.g., Arbiter): 210 speed.

Defense: 2,500 – 3,500 defense.

Health: 60,000 – 80,000 HP.

End Game / Late Game (Gold V – Plat)

Speed: 350 – 400+ speed.

Defense: 3,500 – 4,500 defense. Unless they are a defensive champion, there’s a diminishing return on defense higher than 4,000.

Health: 80,000 – 90,0000+ HP

Damage Dealer / Nuker

Examples: Taras The Fierce, Rotos, Fenax

These champions are self-explanatory; they are the ones who deal the most damage and your win condition in defeating your opponent. There are some guidelines you want to be aware of for your Nukers. You often want them to go last on your team, but not the slowest champion in the match.

The most important stat for your Damage Dealers is critical rate. You want your damage dealers to have 100% critical rate. In some cases, you can get away with lower (generally 70%), but that’s if the champion (or another on the team) has a critical rate buff or you’re able to improve your team’s critical rate through an area bonus.

While most damage dealers are Attack-based, there are many powerful and often utilized Defense and HP-based Nukers. When it comes to their primary stat (Attack, Defense, HP), you simply want as much as possible, regardless of your progress.

If your Nuker also applies a debuff, you’ll want enough accuracy to ensure it takes effect. You don’t need the highest accuracy numbers in the world. As a guideline, try landing within 20 – 30% of the recommended guideline of accuracy for Debuffers based on your progression.

Stats to Focus On: Speed / SPD, Crit. Damage / C. Damage

Early Game (Bronze – Silver)

Speed: 200 speed.

Crit. Damage: 150 – 200%

Mid Game (Silver – Gold)

Speed: 220 – 250 speed.

Crit. Damage: 200 – 275%

End Game / Late Game (Gold V – Plat)

Speed: 250 – 350 speed.

While 250 speed is the recommended minimum, you can have success in the 230 – 249 range. But not consistently.

Crit. Damage: 300%+
